I’m finding my own way
I grew up in my family’s craft business – helping out was simply part of life. My start in working life: a degree in social work. By the end, I knew I didn’t want to be a social worker.
So I started afresh. Starting as an office assistant in a Japanese corporation, I worked my way up into management step by step. This was followed by roles in advertising, retail and exports. Each role gave me new perspectives – and the realisation that change opens up opportunities.
A formative period: a year and a half in Cuba, working as a proofreader for the country’s largest newspaper. Back in Germany, I helped set up therapy practices. That’s when it became clear to me: supporting people and teams in their development – that’s my thing.
I qualified as a psychotherapist under the HPG, as a systemic coach and also as a mediator. For around 20 years, I have been supporting people and organisations through professional changes – whether in career counselling, outplacement or in projects relating to HR and organisational development.
Today, I draw on all this experience to make change easier, clearer and more successful for others.
